Adam Lambert's new album cover has been receiving quite the scrutiny. Phrases like "an homage to Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince" and "Xanadu" have been thrown around by authors of articles analyzing Lambert's album cover. I personally think that this album cover is way over the top and in light of the recent photos he did for Details magazine, Lambert is not someone for teens to be idolizing or looking up to. There's no way that this short of sensationalism would have been on the nightly news report during Cronkite's era. Lambert's response to all of the uproar.... "For those that don't get it: Oh well.... glad to have gotten your attention." He also tweeted "Glam is back!" in a link to his cover. For more see stories below.Wednesday, October 28, 2009
Does Adam Lambert's cover push the envelope?

It is interesting how Micheal Jackson's death is prompting so much publicity. Its all over the news. And it is surprising how many different people have paid homage to him, like at his funeral.
I personally don't think that news stories like this should be of any concern to the public, but unfortunately this kind of news is all they demand because perhaps they don't understand the more complex or pressing issues.
I think that criticisms are pointless because Adam has a freedom of expression. News media of this sort has no genuine desire to educate the public about the truth behind important issues and seem to only seek for monetary gain with their stories. I believe they find that stretching the truth brings great profit in the world today.
